Pasture Options

BL&C provides a number of pasture management options, including hay production and livestock leases.  

BL&C maintains several herds of cattle within the Heath area.  BL&C bales hay and rotates livestock to a number of locations including both property owned by BL&C and leases from local pasture owners.

Hay production is the preferred option for most pastures, but with proper fencing and water access livestock leases are also possible.  Other options include mowing, seeding, and fertilization options for pasture improvement.

Agricultural Tax Exemptions

BL&C provides pasture management options that allow for an Agricultural Valuation of agricultural land and pastures.  Often referred to as an "Ag Exemption," the Agricultural Valuation is in fact a reduced property valuation for property used in agricultural production.  This valuation filed with the local appraisal office can greatly reduce the property taxes due for a large parcels of land.

BL&C can provide land owners with the documentation necessary to establish agricultural use and the associated reduced property valuation.

Round Bales, Cattle and Grass Fed Beef

BL&C produces hundreds of round bales, dozens of calves and grass fed beef each year.

Excess round bales, cattle and grass fed beef are available during the year for limited periods of time. When available, and not already reserved, options can be found listed here.
